Bio:
Julie Lee
Julie Lee, 17 years old, is a native to Colorado, born and raised in the Denver metro area. At the age of 12, Julie began her training in dance studying many styles, and eventually realized her love for hip hop. Focusing on the elements of hip hop and funk styles, Julie currently trains with the Mad Monkey Project (formerly Motion Underground) under Kenny Jimenez. Not only has she trained with Colorado’s local teachers, but she also travels to Los Angeles and attends numerous conventions and workshops to learn from today’s greatest dancers and choreographers. Julie has recently worked with Nappy Tabs for the video of an upcoming artist, John Gillette. In the near future, Julie plans to move out to Los Angeles hoping to pursue a successful career in dance. Her greatest goal is to travel the world and share her love for dance.
Audrey Gibson
Audrey Gibson, from Colorado, has been dancing since she was 14. Two years ago, Audrey moved to Boulder and fell in love with hip hop when she stepped into Motion Underground under the direction of Ken Jimenez and John Gillette. She's also had training in contemporary, jazz, and breaking. Now at 20 years old, Audrey is finding a strong passion in teaching and loves to choreograph. Recent performances include Body Rock 2009 with So Real Cru and she will be part of the Monsters of Hip Hop showcase in August.
